It belongs to the olive family. It has heart shaped deep green leaves, which are arranged oppositely along the stems. The Lilac is deciduous, so its leaves turn yellow when fall comes. The leaves are usually simple, 4-12 centimeters long with entire margins.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It has numerous small, oval, 4 petaled flowers in one stack, in colors from light to dark purple, reddish ,white, blueish purple, and magenta.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Its bark is reddish-brown when young, and becomes scaly and gray with age. Az olajbogy\u00f3k csal\u00e1dj\u00e1ba tartozik. Sz\u00edv alak\u00fa m\u00e9lyz\u00f6ld levelei vannak, melyek egym\u00e1ssal szemben helyezkednek el a sz\u00e1rak ment\u00e9n.
