The species which is most commonly found in western europe and hungary is a Fraxinus angustifolia subspecies. As its name suggests, it has narrow leaves with 7\u201313 leaflets; these are hairless underneath. This majestic tree is a medium sized deciduous tree growing up to 20-30 m tall, with a trunk up to 1.5 m.
