The Oregon grape is a native plant from North America. Its elliptic leaves are odd in number, and are arranged opposite each other pinnately, the edges are spiny. It has dense clusters of yellow flowers in early spring. It resembles the holy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The small purplish-black fruits, which are quite tart and contain large seeds, and are edible raw. Oregon grape can be also used to make wine mixed with the product of salal.
