This is important because it is how we can distinguish it from the death cap. Meadow mushroom prefers meadows and pastures, especially those that have been properly fertilised.&nbsp; It also occurs in raised woodland edges. It always appears in groups. Meadow mushroom is a very tasty and popular edible mushroom. It has a stump collar, a convex or flat cap and free-standing plates.
